SHORTFILM COMPETITION: THE ZURICH AUDIENCE AWARD GOES TO....

The Zurich Audience Award goes to “ACTOR TENZIN” by Tenzin Namdol.

“Tenzin has a passion for acting. His uncle draws his attention to casting and his great dream of becoming an actor is within reach. His mother has nothing for his dreams and brings him to the ground of reality. Actor Tenzin deals with a topic that is still relevant for many Tibetan families: the career choice of children. Stereotypes of occupational groups are strongly anchored in the minds of Tibetans. Acting is definitely not part of the scheme of a successful career. Tenzin Namdol is a Tibetan filmmaker based in Dharamsala. He already took part in the short film competition in 2014 and took third place. This success motivated him to continue working on a film career.” Lobsang Reichlin, Tibet Film Festival
